Help identifying the model of AGA you own

AGA Standard / Traditional 2 or 4 oven

(Produced 1941-1972) The standard AGA has the more traditional / vintage look. This AGA is usually fitted with lids that are completely enameled all over however some standard AGA's have chrome tops with an enameled lid bands.

The easiest ways to identify the standard AGA is by the top plate and the AGA badge; the top of the standard AGA is completely flat all of the way back and the AGA badge on a standard AGA is casted into the front of the AGA.

Pre 74 Deluxe 2 or 4 oven AGA

(Produced 1956-1974) The pre 74 AGA performs the same as the standard AGA the only difference is the pre 74 has more of a modern day look.

The 2 easiest ways to identify the pre 74 AGA is by the top plate and the towel rail; at the back of the top plate on a pre 74 AGA behind the lids is a low shelf that you would be able to stand a small bowl or mug on, also the towel rail on a pre 74 AGA sits on top of the towel rail bracket leaving the ends of the towel rail visible.

The 4 oven pre 74 AGA's usually have a 1 piece continues top and towel rail however 2 piece top plates and towel rails are also possible.

Post 74 Deluxe 2 or 4 oven AGA

(Produced 1974-1995) The post 74 AGA looks the same from as the pre 74 AGA from the front, only the post 74 has an upgraded burner housing the post 74 AGA is the most modern day AGA and will fit the design of any home.

The easiest ways to identify the post 74 AGA is by the top plate and the towel rail; the back of the top plate on a post 74 AGA has a small lip at the back behind the lids that nothing is able to sit on, the towel rail of a post 74 AGA sits inside towel rail bracket meaning the ends of the towel rail are not visible.

Post 95 Deluxe AGA

(Produced 1995-current day) The post 95 AGA appears identical to the post 74 AGA. The only ways they differ is; the lids on a post 95 AGA are spring assisted making lifting and lowering the lids easier also the joining strip on a 4 oven post 95 is part of the top plate whereas the post 74 AGA has a separate joining strip, this also means that the post 95 4 oven AGA only has three towel rail brackets in total as the middle towel rail bracket joins the two towel rails together.
